In 2008 Howe Keld was given a "Gold" award at 4 star guest accommodation level by Visit Britain. Owners Stephen and Louise have established something fresh and exciting here, maintaining a traditionally friendly and informal atmosphere while creating accommodation with all the cutting edge style of an expensive boutique hotel. The guest lounge, with its lovely open fire place, leather furniture and mellow decor is in classic style, and is a great place to relax with a glass of wine, champagne or one of the local ales. Hearty breakfasts are served in equally stylish surroundings. Bedrooms are simply stunning and uncompromisingly contemporary, each having received the attention of a professional interior designer and each with its own individual style. Rooms vary in size, Deluxe up to Suites the largest having Kingsize or Superking beds. All have luxurious goose-down duvets and fine cotton sheets, IPod docking stations, large screen TVs, DVD players with free access to a large collection and free Wi-Fi access in all rooms. The Fully tiled bathrooms feature designer stunning fittings by Villeroy & Boch, heated floors, mood lighting, dual fuel towel rails, spacious shower enclosures and bathrobes. The hotel is ideally based from which to explore the Central Lakes and the unspoilt beauty of the Western Coast, a firm favourite with both walking and rambling groups. All bedrooms have en-suite shower room and are furnished to a high standard, each have a television with satellite channels and all rooms have free WiFi access. The hotels breakfast facilities are run on a self service basis. We provide everything you require for a full continental breakfast so you can serve yourself .
